Why WD40?
Any solvent cleaner, when rinsed, and then lubricated, works well. WD40 is a solvent. Therefore, it cleans well. It does not lubricate like an oil, so we recommend cleaning with WD40 and then lubricating with machinery oil.

What oils will work for lubrication?
Any machinery oil using silicon, grease, Teflon or graphite is appropriate use for lubrication. We recommend 3IN1 oil.
