Adjusting and Wearing the Quick Connect Buckles on your Climbers

Derrick does things a bit differently- he puts the buckles on first, slightly loose, which leaves a little room around the boot. He then wraps the climber around the bottom of his boot, which adds tension and pulls the buckle into place more securely. He then straps the Velcro calf strap. This leaves a little room for mobility in your ankle, but keeps the gaffs and buckles secure around his boot when climbing. Watch the video for a full tutorial.
