Q: What is the purpose of the Swinger?
A: The primary purpose of the Swinger is for gear management. Stow what you need where you want on your harness and have easy and secure access to it in the canopy.
Q: What problem does this product solve?
A: With the patented gate that swings both ways, it eliminates fumbling around or needing two hands to remove your gear from your harness. It saves time and allows you to easily access your tools with gloved hands.
Q: What are the working conditions (weather)?
A: This device can be used in all weather conditions. Sap can get into certain aspects of the device. Use household lubricants and inspect before use for any wear. See below or see the user manual for more inspection and maintenance information.
Q: What tools does the Swinger work well with?
A: You can stow a chainsaw lanyard on the eye on the bottom of the Swinger. The swing gate works well with stowing positioning lanyards, slings, your Speedrack for rigging, extra hardware or climbing devices, daisy chaining rope, and more
Q: What sets this product apart from other products in the industry and why?
A: The Swinger is the first of its kind with a patented dual swinging gate to provide the easiest removal o f products from your tool carrier. It can even be used one-handed. The swinging gate can also be set to locked/unlocked via a twist of the gate
Q: How do I install it on my harness?
A: The Swinger can be installed to the tool-carrier sections any standard arborist harness. It uses an Allen wrench to install. Unscrew the backing, slide the Swinger into the installation point on the harness and screw the backing on with an Allen key.
NOTE: The Swinger does not come with an Allen wrench included.
Q: What are the most common misuses, and how can I avoid them?
A: To ensure you are using the Swinger correctly, please read:
- Make sure that your device does not get caught by branches or gets pulled on. THE SWINGER IS NOT LIFE SUPPORT.
- Make sure to inspect the screws that attach the device to the harness before every use along with the gate for wear.
- Do not use the Swinger to anchor or tether yourself
- Do not pass climbing line through the tool holder
- Do not use the Swinger as a connector
- Ensure the gate is closed when working in an inverted position to avoid potential loss of gear
- To avoid any confusion during use, do not place the Swinger in near proximity to the tie-in points of your harness
Q: How do I clean and inspect the Swinger?
A: If necessary, clean with fresh water then allow to dry completely. Store in a dry place away from extremes of heat and cold and avoid chemical exposure. Lubricate the mechanism with a suitable lubricating oil. This should be carried out after cleaning. Cleaning and lubrication may cure a defective mechanism, if it does not, replace the product immediately.

Q: How do I know when to retire the product?
A: Retire the device if any of the following apply:
- The product fails any inspection (before, during, after use and periodic in-depth inspection).
- It was misused, altered, damaged, or exposed to harmful chemicals.
- There is any doubt regarding its integrity.
