What is the most common issue and how do you avoid it?
The most common issue and potential failure is not completely closing the block. It's imperative to check and ensure the captive spring pin is fully closed by turning the pin clockwise.
The user should hear audible sound and feel the pin engaging in the closed position.
When setting up the block to rig, always position the spring pin to face away from the tree to avoid the potential hazard of the impact which could lead to damaging the pin or potentially pushing it to the open position.
Also, users should not exceed the appropriate diameter of the rigging size rope, maximum rope size is indicated on the side plate of the block.
How easy is this product to use?
On a scale of 1 (very easy) to 5 (difficult, takes practice and calibration), this product is a 2. Once installed, it works like other rigging blocks.
How do I store the ⅝" Rigging Block?
Blocks should be stored with other rigging products in manner to avoid damage during transportation, exposure to moisture and debris. Caution should be taken to avoid contact with other heavy objects which can create sharp burrs and damage the rope.
Q: How do I clean the block?
